As the founder of Swenn, I am excited to share some big news with you. Last summer, my family and I made a significant life change by moving to the breathtaking Prince Edward Island, the smallest island province off the east coast of Canada.
Our move to PEI was prompted by our desire to experiment with a new way of life that combines our love of the outdoors with our professional projects. Having visited the island many times during the past few years, we fell in love with its natural beauty. Like good "Bretons" originally from the West coast of France (Bretagne), we had been missing the sea, and after 12 years in Montreal, the call of the open sea had grown too strong to ignore. Therefore, we chose a "by the sea" lifestyle that reflects our values.
After moving in last August and settling in Stratford, near Charlottetown, we took a transition period to start our new life here. Then, I found an available store to open the new Maritimes chapter for Swenn. I am excited to announce that the first Swenn physical store opened on December 19th in the Confederation Court Mall in Charlottetown!
Together with my husband, we worked tirelessly to build all the store furniture and make it happen in just 30 days. We also received great help from the Confederation Court Mall team for the building, cleaning, and painting.
Now that the store is open, we are proud to promote Canadian design heritage with Swenn's products and feature more Canadian designer products, such as jewelry, decoration, stationery, and more.
We are thrilled to be a part of this dynamic island community, and we can't wait to meet you and introduce you to the Swenn brand. Please feel free to come and visit us at the store if you have any questions or want to learn more about our story and creative process.
